Game Show Network's New Master Trivia Game, "Best Ever Trivia Show" Premieres June 10 at 4 PM ET
The 65-Episode Series Will See if Contestants Can Best Proven
Trivia Experts, Including ‘Jeopardy!’ All-Star Ken Jennings
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Game Show Network, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, has announced today that BEST EVER TRIVIA SHOW, hosted by Sherri Shepherd (“The View”) will debut on June 10 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
In BEST EVER TRIVIA SHOW, three contestants face off against three Trivia Experts. The winning player then goes head-to-head in the final round against the Expert who performed the best over the course of the show – the Ultimate Trivia Challenge. If the player gets more correct answers than the Expert, the player wins $10,000 along with the opportunity to come back and win up to a grand total of $30,000 and take his or her spot in trivia history.
The Experts the contestants will be facing are:
KEN JENNINGS (Edmonds, WA) – One of the best-known quiz show contestants of all time, Ken Jennings set records in 2004 as the player with the longest winning streak (74 consecutive games) and most regular-season winnings ($2.52 million) in Jeopardy! history. Once a computer programmer, today Jennings is the author of twelve books and the co-host of the podcast Omnibus. His favorite trivia categories are literature and movies, and his hobbies include hiking and painting. He lives in Seattle with his wife Mindy, two kids, and two dogs.
SUSANNAH BROOKS (Madison, WI) – Winner of the inaugural Americas Quizzing Championships and the top American woman in the World Quizzing Championships, Susannah Brooks has put her vast trivia skills to use in her successes on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Jeopardy!. This Midwestern trivia all-star and University of Wisconsin graduate considers classical music (and Elizabeth Taylor’s husbands) among her favorite trivia categories. She enjoys movies, watching hockey, singing, and teaching big words to her small daughter.
RYAN CHAFFEE (Andover, MN) – An extremely experienced game show trivia expert, Ryan Chaffee has taken home money on four separate game shows: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, 500 Questions, Who’s Still Standing?, and Jeopardy!. Chaffee is a Yale graduate and his favorite trivia categories are Sigmund Freud, early-90’s heavy metal, and the life and work of Hunter S. Thompson.
JONATHAN CORBBLAH (Brooklyn, NY) – As a world class chess master, Jonathan Corbblah brings a unique strategy to his trivia exploits. Corbblah, whose favorite trivia category is geography, has won on Wheel of Fortune, The Chase, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Jeopardy!. When not playing chess or on a game show, this quiz bowl coach & Mensa member enjoys playing Scrabble, basketball, and poker.
RAJ DHUWALIA (Fort Lauderdale, FL) – First competing in quiz bowl matches at 15 years old, Raj Dhuwalia is truly a veteran trivia expert. This juggling and unicycling trivia master has been extremely successful on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, The Chase, and Jeopardy!. Dhuwalia, whose favorite category is science, has both a Master of Arts in English from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Science in Physics from University of Florida.
ARIANNA HAUT (Topanga, CA) – As an educator who founded a charter school in Los Angeles, Arianna Haut continues her passion for knowledge through trivia game shows. With successful runs on The Chase, Jeopardy!, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Haut, who counts literature and food as her favorite quizzing categories, is an experienced trivia master who loves to be constantly learning. When not immersed in trivia, she can be found at Disneyland, supporting the Dodgers, or working on crossword puzzles.
MUFFY MARRACCO (Swarthmore, PA) – A tutor and writer of an original Lifetime movie, Muffy Marracco solidified her place in trivia history after winning on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and The Chase. Marracco, whose favorite trivia category is American history, is ranked in the top 20% of players in the World Quizzing Championships. She is a graduate of Brown University and holds a Master of Swedish Social Studies from Stockholm University. Marracco has two rescue dogs and enjoys volunteering with a dog rescue group when not playing trivia or helping her students.
DAVID SCHUCHINSKI (Montclair, NJ) – As black belt in taekwondo, David Schuchinski brings discipline and efficiency to his trivia strategy. A writer and King Trivia Master who won on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Schuchinski, a cum laude Yale graduate, most enjoys answering questions about art history and business. He also enjoys cooking, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife.
