EL PASO ARTIST RICK URIBE NAMED SEASON 3 WINNER OF GSN’S HIT SERIES “SKIN WARS”

Wins $100,000 in Television’s First Body Painting Competition; Named Winner By Judges RuPaul Charles and Body Painting Icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina 

June 29, 2016, SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Artist Rick Uribe of El Paso, Texas was named the season three winner ofSKIN WARS, the hit TV series from GSN and television’s first body painting competition.  Uribe, who outperformed 11 other talented body painters from around the US, was named the winner at the conclusion of Wednesday night’s finale, which aired on GSN at 9:00pm ET/PT.  Download a broadcast quality clip of the winning moment at http://bit.ly/sw310win. The hit TV series, hosted by Rebecca Romijn (X-Men) is the most-watched series in GSN history and has been seen by nearly 11 million total unique viewers for Season 3 to date.  It has nearly doubled (+92%) the year-to-date time period average with total viewers. 

In the season three finale, Uribe was named the winner by a panel of judges, including legendary entertainer RuPaul Charles and body painting icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina.  As the winner of SKIN WARS, he will receive a $100,000 cash prize, an all-expense paid trip for two to the World Bodypainting Festival in Austria (happening this week), and a custom-made stencil line from Bad Ass Stencils with his name on it. Natalie Fletcher of Bend, Oregon, and Lana Chromium of San Diego were the winners of seasons 1 and 2 respectively.    

A tattoo artist, body painter and muralist by trade, Rick grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. As a teen, he wanted to use his artwork to better the community and has now painted over 20 colorful murals across the city.  .
